— Eryn Boone
Excellent repair work! Thank you!
— Dana Stahla
I had The Fixed Line repair 2 jacket zippers, a snow skirt draw string and a hole in my sleeping pad and could not be happier with the results. Communication was excellent throughout the process with multiple suggestions for types of repairs and approximate costs on the repairs. Everything was completed in a timely manner and for what I thought to be an extremely fair price. The best part about the whole thing was there pick up/drop off service they do at the Hoarding Marmot, so convenient!! Thanks for adding some years to me gear!
— Sam Shepherd
WOW! Great craftsmanship, creativity, and service. I have taken two garments and 2 tents to Ryan for repairs over the past few months. Ryan takes the time to do a quality repair while also being creative with materials and techniques to help save you money. I will be going back.
— Chris Stinson

I’ll only work with the best materials available and provide a 1 year guarantee on all labor. I never compromise quality for time and give my clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. I strive for honest customer service, so contracts are only paid in full when the finished work is to your complete satisfaction.

About Me

I started Sewing in home economics class and started building my own outdoor gear while studying outdoor education in college.  But even before that I was fixing my own gear, so I could get outside more. For 14 years I worked for NOLS, where I saw a huge volume of gear get used hard. When I moved to Alaska, I saw an opportunity to use my expertise on gear use and repair to help others get and stay outdoors. The Fixed Line, LLC is the growth of 5 years of gear repair services in Alaska.
