Seam Taping
We offer seam taping of water proof breathable fabrics like GoreTex®, Event® NeoShell® and others. This allows us to repair your waterproof breathable pants and jackets to factory finish and performance. Small tears these shell materials can often be fixed with seam taping and no additional patching, offering aesthetic and virtually invisible repairs.
Using various size and type tapes, we are able to repair and reinforce 3 layer laminates that have been worn or have delaminated from the protective tricot lining.
The protective tricot liner has worn through on this ski patrol uniform after full time use with a pack.
By using a wide seam tape, we are able to protect the waterproof breathable membrane and extend the useful life of the garment.
In addition to sealing existing seams or taping a repair, seam tape can be applied as a "hot patch" on many garments to create an exceptionally strong, cost effective and fast bonded repair. We have used seam tape to repair torn down jackets from inside the baffle, creating a virtually invisible repair. Seam tape can also be used to repair some "welded" constructions and along with our selection of adhesive tapes, we can repair many modern welded seam failures.
